FARM SHOW REPORT

The results are in! Lots of volunteers (over 50), lots of hours (too many to count), and lots of donations (our best year ever). The Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg again saw unseasonably warm temperatures and tremendous crowds.

Steve Swika of S&S Amusements donated the use of his 1946 Alan Herschel merry-go-round, now a recognized staple in the Family Living section of the Main Hall. Channel 27 News (local ABC affiliated WHTM of Harrisburg) ran a terrific report on their 6 and 11 o’clock news broadcasts, Sunday evening, January 6 highlighting our fundraising mission. The impact was felt in numerous positive comments, increased monetary support, and plenty of riders. Your Farm Show committee is proud to announce that both the Farm Show Scholarship Foundation and the Pennsylvania Showmen’s Scholarship Fund will each receive $17,720 from this year’s project. Please give a special thank you to all who volunteered their time to this worthwhile event.
